2. Permissions We Request and Why

To provide you with a seamless and secure experience, the Extension requires the following permissions:

  • storage: Required to save and retrieve your custom preferences locally, including the selected theme, power status, and slider adjustments (brightness, contrast, grayscale, sepia), ensuring your settings persist across browsing sessions.
  • cookies: Required to securely verify your authentication and premium subscription status by reading session cookies strictly from the developer's platform (ExtHub.store).
  • Host Permissions (*://*.exthub.store/*): Required to communicate with the developer's server and verify if you have an active premium subscription to unlock the full features of the extension.
  • Host Permissions (Google Maps Regional Domains): The extension requests permissions for a comprehensive list of regional Google Maps domains (e.g., https://www.google.com/maps*, https://www.google.co.uk/maps*, https://www.google.pl/maps*, etc.). This is absolutely required to inject the dark mode CSS styles into the map interface consistently, regardless of which country's specific Google Maps domain you are routed to.

3. Data Storage, Transmission & Zero-Tracking

We absolutely DO NOT collect, transmit, store, sell, or share your location data, search history, browsing history, or any personal information.All visual adjustments and preference processing occur entirely locally on your device. Your settings never leave your device, and we do not use any third-party tracking or analytics scripts within the extension.

The Extension's use of any information received complies strictly with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use your data for advertising, we do not sell your data, and we do not use your data for creditworthiness or lending purposes.
