2. Permissions We Request and Why

To provide you with a seamless and secure experience, the Extension requires the following permissions:

  • storage: Required to save and load your visual preferences locally (such as selected theme, brightness, contrast, and auto-schedule times) so they persist across different browsing sessions.
  • cookies: Required to securely manage user authentication and trial sessions via our authentication domain (exthub.store). This allows the extension to verify your premium subscription status seamlessly without requiring you to log in multiple times.
  • Host Permissions (*://scholar.google.*/*): Required to inject the CSS stylesheets and JavaScript necessary to modify the appearance of Google Scholar pages, applying your selected dark themes and reader tools.
  • Host Permissions (*://*.exthub.store/*): Required to securely check your active trial or premium subscription status and synchronize your account session from our secure licensing platform.

3. Data Storage, Transmission & Zero-Tracking

We absolutely DO NOT collect, transmit, store, sell, or share your search queries, research history, reading habits, or any personal information.All visual adjustments and preference processing occur entirely locally on your device. Your settings never leave your browser, and we do not use any third-party tracking or analytics scripts within the extension.

4. Limited Use Disclosure

The Extension's use of any information received complies strictly with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use your data for advertising, we do not sell your data, and we do not use your data for creditworthiness or lending purposes.
